WEEKEND IN NEW ENGLAND

October 2 - Depart Greensboro and arrive Boston before noon. Group airfare will be available or use frequent flyer points. Group transfers will be provided at 11:30pm to the Sheraton-Boston. Our magnificent hotel is adjacent to the Copley Plaza and the Prudential Center. Both house many shops and restaurants.

We will get acquainted with Boston this afternoon by taking the infamous and fun Duck Tour for an overview of Boston proper. The ducks are WWII amphibious vehicles that travel over land and sea. We will view Boston's Public Garden, The Common, Old North Church and chic Newbury St. before cruising the Charles River. You may enjoy dinner this evening at one of Boston’s famous restaurants.

October 3 - This morning we will depart Boston for a real close up view of New England.

We will travel north through Boston an it's "North Shore" communities, making our first stop at Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. Time for a light snack here on your own. Our second stop will be along the rocky coast of Maine, where we will view the famous "Nubble Light" lighthouse in York. Breathe in the beauty of the Maine coast as we head toward Kennebunk Village and Kennebunkport. Kennebunk's tree-lined streets are showcases of 18th and 19th century architecture built by merchants and sea captains. We will then view former President Bush's summer home from Walker Point. Return to Kennebunkport for 2 hours of shopping and lunch on your own at the many quaint shops and eateries in the village.

This evening is free for your own enjoyment.

October 4 - You will the day free for optional activities. They include, but are not limited to, the Boston Museum of Fine Art, the Gardner Museum, Salem, Lexington and Concord...the Liberty Trail in Boston proper, a tour of the homes on Beacon Hill, or the JFK Library and Newberry Street, close by, is for world class shopping!!

Dinner this evening "on your own".

October 5 - An early transfer back to the airport for our departure home.
